¡Hola! My name is Monica Alcantar but everyone calls me, Ms. A!
I recently transferred from, Hoover Elementary School where I was the librarian there for 7 years. Prior to Hoover, I was at the Rancho Mirage Public Library for 7 years. What can I say? I love to be surrounded by books.
I was born in Delano, CA then moved to the desert when I was around 7 years old. I attended Indio High School and soon to continue my education by entering a master’s program in school counseling.
I’m a spontaneous person who loves to travel, hike, meditate, photography, art, music/concerts, vintage/thrift shopping, coffee, and wonderful literature. I enjoy working with students and organizing fun library events. Starting the new school year, our library will offer new library books and fun creative events. Stay tuned!
